Thanks to some research we discovered on reddit, ergot reports that he has the powered rails up for the laughing skull terminal stations near the spawn, directly to the south, and directly to the north. We’ll have to have a ‘bring your own cart’ system for now.

Howdy all! Great Minecrafting last night.
I took a new snapshot with a couple tweaks – first, I rotated the camera a bit more, so that East is up (typically it’s northeast); second, I changed the viewing angle so that the camera would be a bit closer to perpendicular with the ground. Let me know if you like this view…
(also, our world continues to grow!)
After a quick copy and the creation of a white-list the server is back up.
Please contact me directly if you appear to not be on the white list – I had many more players who have logged in then I know, and it’s possible I missed someone. Thanks!
Our minecraft numbers have grown beyond my ability to admin/host – so I’m working on a whitelist for our server. I think it’s fair for me to welcome players whom I know, and (sorry guys) ask those that I haven’t met (outside of Minecraft) to move along.
I certainly understand folks have put some hard work into their own minecraft projects – so I’m making a copy of our server available so that you can host your own instance. It is available here: Vraga World
It is a .zip file – please let me know if there are any issues getting it up and running.
Time permitting, I’ll continue with the blog redesign today. Also:
As Minecraft posts have taken over this “gaming strategy” blog, I will look to do a redesign to perhaps section off this material into it’s own logical area…
For now, Posts will live with others.
Using the Tectonicus – deep map renderer I plan to take periodic snapshots of our world as we build. I will make no promises as to the frequency of these snapshots, but I will strive to make them at least weekly.
Here is the first:
Hearing from most players, we’ve decided to generate a new world and start over (with a bug-free *hopefully* server). The connection information remains the same, and if you are reading this blog and are interested, contact a player directly for the information.
There aren’t any rules on this server beyond the typical “don’t be a dick.” Don’t help yourself to anything without asking the person who put it there first, and be respectful of other’s projects. Obviously, we had a lot of fun building semi-nearby on our last server so we were neighbors… I think the same kind of distances we were already observing will be fine this time around.
If you log in to the new world and really want some space, it isn’t yours unless there is a clear claim… place some blocks around what your looking at, +add a sign for clarity.
Update: Server backups are now up and running daily.
Thats it for now, with some help from Talness we should have a google map-esque view of our old home on the web soon. Will update when that occurs.
Happy Mine-crafting everyone!
